November 2 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

This session will explicitly deal with how to combat the negative
impacts of structural and individual ageism that is pervasive in
society, and especially in “medical” like settings. Ageism is largely
an ableist narrative, and participants will learn how to approach
older adults using a “possibilities lens” rather than only seeing
limitations that arise from preconceived notions of older adults
combined with a surplus safety viewpoint.
